HEAL and CLIMBERS win Platinum
EMPixx Awards

ghOst Productions INC, An animation studio based out of
the Twin Cities and specializing in animation for the
medical device industry, has announced that their animated
shorts, HEAL and CLIMBERS
have each won Platinum Awards for Animation (corporate
animation category) in this years EMPixx Awards. Unlike
most Awards ghOst receives, the EMPixx Awards are not
limited to medical-specific entries, but are open to all
types of animation or new media production in all fields
of industry. Sponsored by the American Pixel Academy,
the EMPixx Awards are given each year to honor agencies
and studios that demonstrate an exceptional level of quality
and production in their projects. The EMPixx competition
was created by David E. Carter, a multiple Emmy and Clio
winner with a long history of innovation for the creative
world. Carter also founded the Telly Awards and is now
the Executive Director of the American Pixel Academy.
HEAL, a major animated short,
premiered at the 2009 American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons
and quickly was purchased by Johnson & Johnson subsidiaries
DePuy Spine, DePuy Orthopedics, and DePuy trauma as vehicle
to promote their product lines.
Hot on the heels of HEAL's success
at the 2009 AAOS Annual meeting, longstanding ghOst client

that their animated short, HEAL,
has won the Gold Aster Award for Medical Device Marketing.
The Aster Awards is a medical marketing awards program
allowing healthcare organizations and advertising agencies
to compete against similarly sized competitors from across
the nation and world. Each year the Aster Awards has an
annual contest allowing entries designed, printed and/or
distributed the previous year to be scored, judged and
recognized for excellence in healthcare marketing and
advertising. The Aster Awards is hosted by Creative Images,
Inc., an internationally recognized firm that has specialized
in strategic healthcare marketing for more than 16 years.
HEAL, a major animated short
initially produced as an aesthetic excersize and premiered
at the 2009 American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, quickly
won so much praise and acclaim amongst the medical device
marketing industry that it was purchased by Johnson &
Johnson subsidiaries DePuy Spine, DePuy Orthopedics, and
DePuy trauma as vehicle to promote their new orthopedic
implants. HEAL was produced
over the course of three intense months in the beginning
of 2009.

Aurora Award

that their animated short, HEAL,
has won the AURORA Platinum Best in Show, the company's
first AURORA Award. The Aurora Awards is an international
competition designed to recognize excellence in the film
and video industries. It specifically targets products,
programs and commercials that would not normally have
the opportunity to compete on a national level, by focusing
on non-national commercials, regional or special interest
entertainment and corporate sponsored film and video.
Entries have come from across the US, and abroad.
